When I enter my SMS number and test I never get a text message. I also have several auctions with SMS outbid alert enabled.

Hello Chris,

Thank you for your question about the SMS feature. You are right - the error log indicates that an empty phone number is being sent to the third party.

Give us a few days to address this and we can take the next step.

Okay - you should be able to enter your 10-digit phone number (no special characters like dashes or plus signs). Click the Test button and it should give a success message AND send you an SMS.

One caveat to this feature -- all the messages come from the same number. So if you increase a bid by typing "BID 1000" for example, it will change the bid for the last item number given. To avoid confusion, it always tells you what item number was updated.

This is a really great feature and I appreciate your help in making it better.

I am receiving the following error now:
Error: Sorry, ability to send URLs via text is limited to verified accounts. Please go to https://textbelt.com/whitelist?key=4a3921228c681e1f13713235f3660f7fc579b69dVxUd9XLscsKjiMh7kgHP4DU3Q or email [edited] with your use case and we will verify your key ASAP.

Hmm... that error says that we're sending a URL in the SMS message --- but we aren't.

I added logging to see exactly what is being sent.

Will follow up soon.

I am now receiving: Error: Request failed

I verified we are definitely not sending a URL in the text message. So I filled out the form on the URL given to us in that error message and explained.

However, just now, I noticed the title had the date: "Melt Value 2/25/26". I bet their system is treating that as a URL. I can easily get around that by substituting dates with "(date)"

I'll make the update and let you know.

Okay - I just released a fix. It should let you verify the phone now.

Yeah, it was the date in the title. That seller puts the date in all of the titles.

This tool is still fairly new, so if you have any suggestions to make it better, please feel free to suggest.

Thank you for your continued support and resolution. I have tested the SMS functionality successfully.
